Originating from the island of Sumatra in Indonesia, offered is a very rare forged iron zoomorphic pigment dish. Masterfully rendered in the form of part dragon-part bird, these pigment dishes are used for containing a powdered black pigment that is used for blackening the teeth in tooth filing ceremonies.
